I'm
Matt Jones.
Audio engineer. Production specialist.
Founder of High Wire Productions.

Before Nashville.
I'm from French Lick, Indiana. My early jobs included a local hardware store, the Pete Dye golf course and Paoli Peaks.
I put together my first recording setup in high school and called it Big Barn Studios.
In 2009, I was studying guitar at Musicians Institute's GIT in Hollywood and working as a talent scout for A&R Select. I met Erik Källström at Musicians Institute. We stayed in touch and later co-founded SparkleTree.
I started High Wire while I was in college. Live sound has been part of my work since high school, alongside guitar and studio work. I still take gigs today.

& venue work.
I joined Tequila Cowboy Nashville as an engineer, then became Production Manager. I later became Director of Entertainment at TC Restaurant Group and then VP of Entertainment & Production. I stayed involved with Tequila Cowboy from its opening through its closing.
I also began consulting on production for Dream Hotels during its development in 2018. My work at TC Restaurant Group covered daily shows across its Nashville venues, new openings and buildouts. That included Morgan Wallen's venue and the conversion of FGL House into Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottoms Up.
I planned booking, systems and staffing together, with the venues' budgets in mind.

High Wire Works.
Through High Wire Works, I take on audio and video projects, technical consulting, repairs and custom builds. I also do fabrication, laser work, CNC milling, 3D printing and print, along with websites, games and small software projects.
I started building small software projects in 2020 while exploring ham radio and DMR. These days, I use AI regularly in that work.
